What is an eMandate?
An eMandate is your digital permission for a business to debit your bank account on a schedule: for a loan EMI, a SIP, an insurance premium or a subscription. It replaces paper NACH forms and cheques.
eNACH and UPI AutoPay
- eNACH: runs on the National Automated Clearing House operated by NPCI. You authorise it with net banking, a debit card or Aadhaar-based verification.
- UPI AutoPay: set up from your UPI app and approved with your UPI PIN. Popular for subscriptions and smaller recurring payments.
You stay in control
You can view, pause, modify or cancel a mandate through your bank or UPI app. Always check the maximum amount and the end date before you approve one.
For businesses
Collecting recurring payments reliably needs the right sponsor bank, a clean registration flow and clear communication with customers. Guides for businesses are coming soon.
Digital signatures
Many lending and financial workflows also need a Digital Signature Certificate for signing agreements and filings.
